As we expand our digital reach, we are seeking a creative and proactive Digital Media Content Creator to capture, produce, and share UNIQ You's story through high-quality photography, videography, and multimedia content.
Role Overview:
The Digital Media Content Creator will play a central role in capturing and creating visual content that tells the story of UNIQ You's programs, students, and partners. This content will support program promotion, stakeholder engagement, and the organisation's digital presence nationally.
This is a 6-month, part-time contract position (3 days a week, 0.6 FTE) based on a work-from-home arrangement with flexibility around school hours and school holidays. The successful candidate will reside in the Brisbane metro or upper Gold Coast area, as the role requires regular weekly local travel, with some regional and/or interstate travel. The salary range for this role is $60,000 – $67,000 per annum (pro rata, based on FTE).

Key Responsibilities:
* Photography & Videography (Primary Focus): Capture high-quality images and videos of UNIQ You programs, events, mentors, and student engagement for use across digital channels, social media, and reports.
* Content Creation & Editing: Edit photos and videos, create graphics, and produce multimedia content that is compelling and aligned with UNIQ You's brand.
* Social Media & Digital Campaigns: Support the planning, production, and delivery of content across UNIQ You's social media channels, newsletters, and website.
* Storytelling & Brand Alignment: Ensure all content communicates UNIQ You's mission, values, and impact in a consistent and engaging way.
* Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations, Partnerships and Programs teams to translate program highlights into visually engaging stories.
* Analytics & Reporting: Monitor engagement metrics and provide insights to improve content performance.
* Project Management: Plan, organise, and manage multiple media projects, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven Photography & Videography Expertise: Strong experience in professional photography and video production, including editing and post-production.
* Digital Media Skills: Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook), video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Canva, or similar), and graphic design tools.
* Creative Storytelling: Ability to create engaging visual stories that resonate with young people, educators, and stakeholders.
* Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team.
* Organisational & Time Management Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.
* Flexibility & Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities.
Desirable:
* Experience in the not-for-profit or education sectors.
* Understanding of STEM, VET, and gender equity initiatives.
* Knowledge of engagement strategies for both industry and school-aged audiences.
