This role will involve operating heavy plant machinery such as excavators and dozers in an open pit mining environment. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety, with the ability to work collaboratively with other operators and supervisors to meet production targets.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Operating heavy plant machinery such as excavators and dozers in accordance with site procedures and regulations.
* Conducting regular maintenance checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
* Working collaboratively with other operators and supervisors to achieve production targets.
* Maintaining a high level of safety awareness and contributing to a positive safety culture within the workplace.
In addition to operating experience, we require the following skills and qualifications:
* Proven experience operating heavy plant machinery such as excavators and dozers.
* A valid HR licence.
* Machinery tickets.
* A current valid police check.
* A strong safety mindset and reliable workmanship.
