Technical Business Analyst & Program Coordinator (CyberSec)
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term (Maternity Leave Cover)
Location: Hybrid - 1-2 days per week in office

About the Organisation
Our client is a well-established Australian charity investing in a cyber security uplift program to strengthen protections across their 1000+ staff organisation. This role supports the delivery of their cyber program while maintaining day-to-day security operations and device management.
The Role
This hybrid role combines program coordination (60-70%) with technical administration (30-40%). The successful candidate will coordinate cyber uplift initiatives, chase deliverables, liaise with stakeholders, and handle technical tasks including mobile device management, security incident investigation, and identity/access administration. This is a practical delivery role requiring independence and self-direction. The successful candidate will work with a junior team and must be comfortable being the most experienced person in the room.
Key Responsibilities
- Track project deliverables and manage stakeholder communications
- Maintain project schedules and risk registers in Azure DevOps
- Chase suppliers and hold internal teams accountable to timelines
- Report on progress and ensure compliance activities stay on track
- Manage iOS/iPadOS device enrollment and troubleshoot MDM issues (Intune/Apple VPP)
- Investigate security alerts and incidents (Microsoft Defender, Rapid7 InsightIDR)
- Perform basic Entra ID administration: user accounts, MFA, conditional access policies
- Monitor application control alerts (WDAC/Airlock) and manage SIM services (Optus/Telstra)
- Configure web filtering policies (Netskope) and provide end‑user support via ticketing system
Qualifications
- Business analysis or project coordination background
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure/Intune/Defender or similar platforms
- iOS device management experience (not Android)
- Comfortable investigating security incidents and troubleshooting technical issues
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work independently
- Outcome-focused with minimal need for direction or hand-holding
- Exposure to Netskope, Entra ID, WDAC, or Rapid7 InsightIDR
- Security operations or SOC analyst experience (L2 level)
- NFP/charity sector experience handling sensitive data
