Health Information Management Role
The primary responsibility of this role is to translate narrative descriptions of diseases, injuries and procedures into alphanumeric codes using ICD‑10‑AM classification system.
This role ensures accurate and timely assignment of diagnoses and procedure codes, adhering to Australian Coding Standards within the NSW Health timeframes.
* Demonstrated coding experience in a tertiary hospital using ICD‑10‑AM/ACHI and 3M Codefinder across a range of specialties.
* Proven knowledge and understanding of Australian Coding Standards and DRGs.
* Experience with Patient Administration system/eMR such as Cerner.
