As the Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be part of a diverse team who help safely deliver the GEMCO Rehabilitation Program through a range of best practice activities.
This is a great opportunity to exchange knowledge with others by passing on your skills whilst respectfully learning aspects of local Indigenous culture including traditional natural resource management skills and knowledge.Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:Native seed collection, seed processing, seed storage, seed nursery propagation, tree planting and weed controlGIS mapping, aerial seeding and spraying with dronesRecording, presenting & analysing data for continuous improvementAssist the Rehabilitation Supervisor plan and deliver annual rehabilitation activities along with potential experimental trialsABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Maintaining accurate records & using GIS or other relevant softwareDemonstrated ability to model safe working practices & behavioursPlanning & managing projects with strong time management skillsDeveloping cultural awareness and building effective working relationships with Indigenous Traditional OwnersOperating vehicles & machinery safely in challenging environmentsQualifications for this position are:Tertiary qualification in relevant fieldValid Manual Driver's LicenceSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
