Low-Carbon Cements PhD Program
The University of Málaga is recognized for its commitment to research excellence and innovation, offering a dynamic academic environment and modern research facilities.
This PhD program focuses on the development of low-carbon cements using mechanochemically activated Spanish clays.
* Mechanochemical activation of clays to enhance their reactivity
* Incorporation of activated clays into LC3-type formulations
* Design, preparation, and advanced characterization of cements and mortars
* Evaluation of mechanical performance, durability, and microstructural development
* Utilization of advanced techniques such as X-ray diffraction, isothermal calorimetry, electron microscopy, rheology, and thermal analysis
Candidates must have a Master's degree in Materials Science, Mineralogy, or a closely related field, demonstrated interest in cement science, sustainable materials, and innovative processing methods, strong command of English (minimum B2 level), motivation, and openness to multidisciplinary collaboration.
