About the Role A North Queensland Local Council is seeking a Solution Architecture to lead enterprise-consistent solution designs that support a major ERP and business transformation program.
This role will work across multiple projects to design and implement sustainable, cost-effective technology solutions centred on the TechnologyOne ERP and Microsoft suite. You'll ensure systems are interoperable, secure, and aligned with the organisation's long-term technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design and delivery of solution architecture across ERP and corporate systems.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, analysts, and vendors to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
* Oversee security, permissions, and delegations, including Separation of Duties.
* Manage solution design documentation, technical evaluations, and system roadmaps.
* Provide architecture guidance to project teams, ensuring technical consistency and interoperability.
* Mentor and support colleagues to build internal capability and ensure knowledge transfer.
* Engage and manage vendors/consultants to ensure timely delivery and quality outcomes.
What We're Looking For
* Strong background in solution architecture and technical solution design delivery.
* Advanced technical knowledge of TechnologyOne ERP implementations (or similar).
* Demonstrated experience in business/systems analysis, project/change management, and vendor management.
* High-level communication skills with the ability to influence and provide clear recommendations.
* Leadership skills to guide, mentor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification (AQF7 or above) in IT, Business, or related discipline OR equivalent experience.
* Experience with the TechnologyOne ERP suite highly desirable.
* Current Queensland C Class Driver's Licence.
* Desirable: Previous IT Applications Architecture or Local Government experience.
