Cleaner Working Alone
This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP.
The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual and will have sufficient knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices. They will ensure that school facilities are cleaned and maintained in accordance with Department and occupational safety and health standards, training, and procedures.
* Internal cleaning duties: maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, rubbish removal.
* External cleaning duties: cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning, removal of cobwebs.
* Liaise with the Manager Corporate Services on all cleaning matters, ensuring advice and support is current, relevant and consistent with the Department's policies, training and procedures on school cleaning.
* Conduct monthly Cleaning Inspections with the Manager Corporate Services.

Eligibility
* Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or holding a valid visa with work rights for the term of appointment.
* Consent to obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
* Hold a current Working with Children Check.
