Job Overview
As a Loss Prevention Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining the security of stores within your assigned district. Your primary objective will be to act as a visual deterrent to criminal activity, respond to incidents, promote compliance, and support our Loss Prevention strategy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deter theft and fraud by conducting high profiling activities and providing exceptional customer service.
2. Ensure all physical security systems are operational and functioning correctly, including CCTV, alarms, monitors, tethers, security tags, detachers, locks, safes, punch code locks, and keys.
3. Manage customer access to tethered items and products in cabinets.
4. Manage alarm codes for the store.
5. Respond to EAS gate activations.
6. Respond to incidents and gather preliminary evidence, including incident details, CCTV footage, and property information.
7. Refer serious incidents to the Loss Prevention Manager.
8. Identify and rectify any non-compliance with merchandise protection guidelines.
9. Review EAS to CCTV reporting and notify the Loss Prevention Manager of known thefts.
10. Conduct random Stock On Hand (SOH) checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
11. Conduct random bag checks on customers and associates.
12. Conduct random locker checks.
13. Conduct random delivery checks to test inventory accuracy.
14. Deliver Loss Prevention Awareness training.
15. Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
16. Promote compliance with all policies and procedures.
17. Support stores with cash collection and change processes.
18. Work with Store Management to administer the Under Detection Analysis (UDA) process.
Ideal Education, Qualifications, and Competencies
* A current Security Industry Employee Licence is preferred.
* Loss Prevention experience is preferable.
* Flexibility with local travel and working hours is required.
* Strong and effective conflict resolution skills are essential.
* The ability to influence others and build relationships is crucial.
* Results-driven individuals are ideal candidates.
