We are excited to represent this client again for this opportunity for a Bar Manager. This is an iconic Gold Coast venue, going through a significant transformation, extending the whole venue and a complete renovation, re-opening later this year.
One of the most awarded restaurants/bar’s on the Gold Coast, with modern Asian cuisine and an impressive beverage and wine list.
The group also opened another restaurant earlier this year, a fresh, sassy younger sibling of the two, offering something a bit more playful and intimate.
The business is owned by a genuine hospitality family who live and breathe the industry, sharing their strong values and professionalism with a friendly, service-driven team.
The Role
As Bar Manager, you will lead every aspect of bar operations, combining creative flair with confident leadership on the floor. This is a highly hands-on role where your presence, standards, and personality will directly influence the bar’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities
o Bar Operations: Full oversight of day-to-day operations including stock control, supplier liaison, and compliance.
o Team Leadership: Lead, inspire and train a tight-knit team of 5–6 bartenders to deliver outstanding service.
o Recruitment & Rostering: Hire exceptional talent and create efficient, cost-effective rosters.
o Cocktail Program: Design and maintain a seasonal, trend-forward cocktail menu that reflects the brand.
o Budget & Cost Control: Manage bar budgets, drive beverage revenue, and maintain COGS targets.
o Wine Knowledge: A sound understanding of wine styles and service is essential.
o Service Standards: Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure seamless beverage service across the venue.
About You
o Proven experience in a similar Bar Manager or senior bar leadership role.
o Confident with cost control, team management, and supplier negotiations.
o Creative and current with global cocktail trends.
o Solid wine knowledge – WSET or similar certification a plus.
o Positive leadership style and a passion for building strong team culture.
