Key Sales Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Sales Professional to join our sales team.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for selling new and used equipment to customers within a designated geographic area.
* Represent the company for the sale of equipment to customers.
* Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable.
* Implement and maintain regular call cycles within a given area of responsibility.
* Monitor competitive activity/products and timely communicate to management.
* Maintain all customer information in assigned territory for sales management.
* Know and follow a defined sales process.
* Achieve sales objectives set by the company as part of the sales planning process.
* Maintain assigned company vehicles and equipment.
* Assist with the preparation and execution of customer events.
* Conduct new equipment field demonstrations.
* Monitor trends in customer's business activities and timely communicate to management.
* Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
* Attend applicable sales training events/seminars.
* Report to the company as directed, including by way of sales reports as managers require.
* Maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes.
Requirements:
* Sales industry experience and/or comprehensive knowledge of heavy equipment considered an asset.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Highly motivated and self-directed.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
* Ability to build relationships and prospect new accounts.
* Must be able to obtain or have a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
