Shape Communities. Drive Outcomes. Build What Matters.
This company, with decades of experience creating and delivering sought-after communities, and with an expanding Queensland pipeline, are seeking a Development Manager who wants real ownership, real impact and real momentum in their career.
This is a hands-on delivery role for a commercially sharp development professional ready to take the lead on projects, influence outcomes and work alongside senior decision-makers in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
As Development Manager, you'll be initially entrusted with end-to-end delivery of a significant Master Planned Community, while playing a key support role on other projects. From feasibility through approvals, construction and sales coordination, you'll be across the full lifecycle — making decisions that genuinely matter.
You'll collaborate closely with the Senior Development Manager and General Manager, manage high-performing consultant and contractor teams, and balance programme, budget and quality to deliver exceptional results.
What You'll Be Doing
* Owning the delivery of residential land and masterplanned community projects.
* Driving feasibilities, cash flows, budgets and project programmes
* Managing consultants, contractors and project teams to high performance standards
* Leading stakeholder engagement with councils, authorities, partners and communities
* Identifying risks early and turning challenges into opportunities
* Working closely with sales, marketing and finance to maximise commercial outcomes
* Protecting and enhancing the brand through quality, compliance and community-focused delivery
Who You Are You're a confident, commercially minded Development Manager or Land Civil Engineer/Project Manager who thrives on responsibility and momentum. You know how to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on delivery — and you're comfortable making decisions, owning outcomes and pushing projects forward.
What you'll bring:
* Experience delivering greenfield subdivisions and/or masterplanned communities in an engineering or development management capacity.
* Strong financial and commercial capability across feasibilities, budgets and reporting
* Proven consultant and contractor management experience
* Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills
* A proactive, driven mindset with a genuine passion for quality development
Why this role?
* Real ownership – take control of projects and see them through
* Quality pipeline – long-term, well-capitalised developments
* Leadership access – work closely with senior decision-makers
* Purpose-led development – build communities, not just projects
* Momentum – a growing business with clear career pathways
If you're ready to step into a role where your decisions shape places, communities and your own career trajectory, this is the place to do it
