Our client has an exciting new chance for a Festivals & Events Officer to join their team and play a key role in delivering vibrant community events where you would potentially be responsible with planning, coordinating, promoting and evaluating local festivals and public programs within the Dandenong region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Researching and investigating appropriate activities and projects to maximise the planning and delivery of Festivals & Events
Assisting in the forward planning and development of client's Festivals and Events and other public engagement programs, as required
Providing support and specialised advice to Community, Corporate, Government agencies and internal departments in the planning and delivery of their festivals and events
Building and maintaining effective relationships with relevant key stakeholders to ensure flexible and responsive service to the community
Ensuring widespread and effective marketing of festivals and events by working collaboratively with Media and Communications and external promotional agencies
Requirements:
Valid National Police Check
Working With Children Check
Current Drivers Licence
Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills
Experience in managing volunteers and contract workers
Experience in planning and delivering large public outdoor events
Experience working with culturally diverse community and community event organisers
