**Your current company**
This agency is responsible for the implementation of major changes with personal disability funding happening across the country. This person centric model will offer individuals with disabilities and their families more choices, more independence, and a better level of control over the services that effect every aspect of their lives. They will be gaining full control over what and how they choose to use this support to complement their life choices and ultimately how they choose to live with their disability.
**Your new role**
Your new role will see you:
- Manage complex and sensitive conversations and situations associated with approval of funding.
- Liaising and working with stakeholders, delegates, partners and providers to ensure consistent decision-making and outcome achievement.
- Support organisation staff conducting internal and Administrative Appeals Tribunal review of decisions.
- Provide high quality written and telephone advice and record keeping.
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Ability to review and assess against legislated criteria and to understand the rules that apply
- Capacity to think critically and be able to express and explain what that critical thinking process is
- Be able to acknowledge the lived experience of the participant, but also addressing this within the legislated framework.
- Ability to communicate with contact providers.
- Have a confident approach to speak across different environments and different cohorts of people.
- Ability to interpret and analyse complex, sensitive information.
- Have excellent writing and communication skills.
- Provide a level of maturity and mentoring support across all different environments.
- Qualifications in any of the following: Occupational Therapy - Prosthetics and Orthotics - Speech Pathology - Physiotherapy - Psychology - Registered Nursing (must be eligible for AHPRA registration), - Social Work - Mental Health Practitioners - Specialists Behavioural Support Practitioners - Medico Legal Allied Health
