About the Role
We are looking for a Telecommunications Specialist (Level 1–2) to join our growing team. This role is primarily remote, providing support and implementation across voice, data, and mobile services, with occasional onsite visits for project delivery, troubleshooting, and client engagement.
You will play a key role in supporting business-critical communication systems, working across VoIP platforms, internet services, and mobile solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide Level 1–2 technical support across:
o VoIP / PBX systems (e.g. 3CX, hosted telephony)
o Internet services (NBN, fibre, fixed wireless)
o Mobile and SIM-based solutions
* Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues via phone, email, and remote tools
* Assist with provisioning, configuration, and deployment of services
* Support onboarding of new customers and system migrations
* Perform routine system checks, maintenance, and updates
* Document support cases, configurations, and standard operating procedures
* Participate in project work, including system rollouts and upgrades
* Conduct occasional onsite visits for:
o Installations and hardware deployment
o Troubleshooting complex issues
o Client relationship support and account management
* Liaise with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues
Skills & Experience
Required:
* 1–3 years’ experience in telecommunications or IT support
* Basic understanding of:
o VoIP technologies (SIP, handsets, softphones)
o Networking fundamentals (IP, DHCP, NAT, firewalls)
o Internet technologies (NBN, routing, connectivity troubleshooting)
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Desirable:
* Experience with 3CX, Mitel, Bicom or similar PBX systems
* Experience with CRM or ticketing systems
* Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or similar)
