About the RoleThe role is responsible for managing the process of specifying, designing, developing, documenting, and introducing industrial electrical control panels for Climate Wizard and other commercial HVAC products.This role will be instrumental in delivering Seeley's vision of improving the quality of Seeley's existing and new products as it strives to provide customers with the most innovative and highest quality products at competitive prices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Development: Develop industrial control panels for new and existing commercial products.Documentation: Generate detailed electrical schematics, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering drawings.
Create user, installer, and service manuals.Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs meet regulatory requirements, including AS/NZS ****, AS/NZS ****, AS/NZS ****, and UL508A.
Perform electrical load calculations and short-circuit analysis.Production Support: Liaise with vendors for quotations, manage component sourcing, and work closely with manufacturing to ensure a smooth transition from development to production.Issue Resolution: Manage warranty and field failure issues, providing high-level technical support to Sales, Marketing, and Service teams.Continuous Improvement: Review product costs and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or reliability.What You'll BringTo succeed in this role, you will be an outgoing self-starter with excellent analytical skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.Qualifications & ExperienceEssential: Electrical trade-based apprenticeship with a relevant Certificate III.Advantageous: Current Electrical License.Technical ExpertiseProven experience in PLC/SCADA system design and development.Strong knowledge of Industrial Communications and network design (specifically Modbus and BACnet).
Experience with electrical panel wiring in a factory/production environment.Proficiency in Instrumentation and Control installation and troubleshooting.SkillsUnderstanding of electrical wiring standards (ELV and LV).
