Job Title: Logistics Team Coordinator
This dynamic role will see you coordinating the logistics of a busy warehouse and transport team, prioritizing safety and delivering exceptional customer service.
The successful candidate will lead by example, thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include planning daily and next-day deliveries to meet DIFOT targets, overseeing vehicle loading accuracy, load restraint and Chain of Responsibility compliance, liaising with contractors and reporting operational issues to senior management.
Maintaining safe, clean and compliant work environments for vehicles, docks and yard areas is paramount. Coaching, feedback and support will be provided to ensure team performance improves continuously. Contributing to cost efficiency improvements and reduced property/customer damages will also be key objectives.
* Daily/Next-Day Deliveries: Plan and coordinate timely deliveries to achieve desired on-time delivery targets.
* Vehicle Loading Accuracy: Ensure accurate and efficient loading of vehicles, adhering to load restraint and Chain of Responsibility regulations.
* Liaison and Reporting: Communicate effectively with contractors, report operational issues to senior management and contribute to overall team success.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need 3+ years' experience in transport or logistics, preferably including 1-2 years in a leadership or team leader position. Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and WHS requirements is essential. A safety-first mindset, strong manual handling awareness, customer focus, problem-solving skills and ability to motivate a team are also required. Transport, Logistics or Supply Chain qualifications are highly desirable.
