Randstad is exclusively partnering with a leading national manufacturer and supplier of building products to recruit a Trade Sales Representative for their Canberra team.
This is an active, permanent role with an immediate start available. You will be reporting directly to the ACT Trade Sales Manager, acting as the face of the brand to trade customers across the territory.
The Role
This is a dynamic, on-the-road position where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for managing an existing portfolio of trade clients while actively hunting for new business opportunities in the residential and commercial construction sectors.
Your Key Impact Areas
* Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with assigned trade customers, ensuring you are their first call for product needs.
* Business Development: Identify market opportunities and confidently cold-call to secure new accounts.
* Sales Operations: Prepare accurate project quotations and sales proposals to win work.
* Collaboration: Liaise with the internal operations team to ensure product quality and delivery meets customer expectations.
* Safety Leadership: Adhere strictly to critical safety rules and champion a "Return Home Safe" culture.
About You
We are looking for a self-starter. You don't need to be micromanaged; you know how to plan your day, manage your appointments, and maximise your time on the road.
To Be Successful, You Will Need
* Sales DNA: A proven track record in sales is essential. Experience within the building, construction, or industrial sectors is highly preferred.
* Drive: You are honest, self-motivated, and have a genuine passion for closing deals and hitting targets.
* Energy: You enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm and pace.
* Requirements: A valid Driver's License and the ability to work autonomously.
* Attitude: While experience is great, your reliability and personality are what will set you apart.
