Head of Sales | Blufire | $120k $250k OTE | Melbourne A bit of video about the role (~1min) Why this role? Blufire just won Best Google Ads Campaign in APAC. Not "participated." Won. They've spent years building something most agencies claim but can't deliver: actual, provable ROI. 10x returns. 30x returns. Clients who stay because they're making money, not because they're locked in. Now they need someone to take over sales. The founder has been running it. Pipeline exists. Case studies exist. Product-market fit exists. What doesn't exist is a dedicated sales leader who can turn a working motion into a revenue machine. This is the job. Build it. Own it. Get paid when it works. The product and market Blufire differs from most agencies you'll see in that they don't sell campaigns. They sell outcomes. They connect ad spend to actual business results—revenue, margin, pipeline velocity. They work with 7 and 8-figure service businesses who care about job profitability, not vanity metrics. What that looks like in practice: $1.85M revenue increase for a liquor retailer. 87% growth. 30x ROI from $100k ad spend for an HVAC company. 16:1 return for a rainwater systems business. No lock-in contracts. If results stop, clients leave. That's the confidence you're selling. They're based in Richmond, Melbourne. Small team. Moving fast. What you'll actually do Own the number. You'll take over active pipeline from founder-led sales. Run discovery. Run demos. Close deals. This isn't a "strategy" role where you make PowerPoints and delegate. You sell. Build the machine. Develop the sales process. Implement forecasting discipline. Create the playbook that lets this scale beyond you. Grow accounts. You'll get leads, and will close them with support and understanding of the USP that Blufire has in-market. You'll run QBRs, spot upsell opportunities, and build relationships across client organisations. You'll also be expected to bring in new business over time. Work with the founder. You report to the CEO. You'll shape go-to-market strategy. You'll influence product decisions based on what you're hearing in the market. You're hungry to win. What you'll need to succeed Non-negotiable: You have enterprise sales experience - with a preference for hunting. The product is evolving and focused on helping businesses scale their revenue with provable ROI in their financial dashboards and reduced headcount. You can run discovery that finds the real problem, not the stated one. You've closed B2B deals. Quota. Pipeline. The whole thing. You handle objections without flinching. You're in Melbourne or moving there. Strongly preferred: You're great at solo. The team is small. You are the sales team (not the people working under you -go and get the deals to make that happen). Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar qualification frameworks. Agency or marketing services sales background. Experience taking over from founder-led sales. We'll train: Bring you up to speed on any gaps in your abilities, and help you upskill with a 12-month training plan as part of the Pointer approach. Connect you to our mentoring network. Product knowledge and competitive positioning. Financial modelling and ROI conversations. What success looks like 90 days: You've taken over the pipeline. Closed your first deals. Know the product cold. 6 months: Consistent deal flow. Sales process documented. Contributing to revenue targets. 12 months: You own the number. You've built the foundation for scale. Leadership trusts you with commercial strategy. Why Blufire? The product works. The case studies are real. The ROI is documented. You're not selling hope and a dream. The timing is right. Founder-led sales has proven the model. Now it needs a dedicated owner who can help the business scale. The culture is honest. No vanity metrics. No spin. If it doesn't drive revenue, it doesn't matter. The comp reflects the job. $120k base. $200k OTE. A sales leadership role with real upside.
