Operation Australia (OpOz) and the HomeFront Community exist to tell the stories of Australia's service community: veterans, defence personnel, and the families behind them. We produce editorial content, podcasts, video features, and community coverage that honours and amplifies those stories.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled Multimedia Editor to join our growing production team. This is a post‐production focused role. You won't own filming or editorial direction, but you will be the person who takes raw footage and photography and transforms it into content that's clean, consistent, and publish‐ready. You'll work closely with our Senior Multimedia Producer, Digital Editorial Producer, and Media Officer to deliver high‐quality visual assets across our website, social channels, newsletters, and community events. We hold our content to a high standard and we're looking for someone who takes pride in the same.
Key Responsibilities
* Edit long‐form and short‐form video content: editorial features, interviews, podcasts, and social cuts
* Apply consistent editing styles aligned with the OpOz tone and brand
* Manage audio balancing, basic colour correction, and format specifications
* Edit and optimise photography for editorial and web use
* Prepare images for WordPress: sizing, compression, cropping, and consistency
* Package and deliver final assets across website, social, newsletters, and campaigns
* Maintain organised file structures and naming conventions
* Edit and process media from HomeFront Community events with timely turnaround
* Contribute to production workflows and meeting deadlines across multiple content streams
What You Bring
* Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or equivalent video editing software
* Experience with Adobe Photoshop and/or Lightroom
* Strong understanding of framing, pacing, and editorial storytelling
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines across different content types
* High attention to detail and consistency
Desirable
* Experience working with editorial or media teams
* Familiarity with WordPress image and video requirements
* Basic motion graphics capability (After Effects or similar)
Salary
Full‐Time: $70,000–$85,000 + super
Part‐Time / Hourly: $30–$45 per hour
Freelance / Contract: $350–$600 per day
Location: Milton, Brisbane / Hybrid
