A skilled and licensed 310T Mechanic is sought after to join a fleet maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on various heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in commercial vehicles.
* Conducting scheduled maintenance and safety inspections in compliance with manufacturer and Ministry of Transportation standards.
* Repairing transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, emission systems, and electrical systems.
* Maintaining detailed and accurate service records and work orders.
* Operating and maintaining diagnostic tools and shop equipment.
* Ensuring all work meets applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards.
* Providing road service and emergency repairs when required.
* Collaborating with other mechanics, supervisors, and operations staff.
* Mentoring apprentices and junior mechanics as needed.
Qualifications: Valid Ontario Truck and Coach Technician Certificate of Qualification, Minimum 3-5 years of experience, Familiarity with MTO regulations, CVOR, and preventative maintenance programs, Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Conditions: Shop based with occasional road service work, Exposure to loud noises, grease, fuel, and exhaust fumes.
