SAP Build Development Consultant

Vertical Scope Group continues to expand our Professional Services Division, and we're seeking highly skilled, trusted, and reputable consultants to join our high‑performing team.
We are currently partnering with a major client in the consulting sector and are looking to secure a SAP Build Development Consultant with deep expertise, strong consulting acumen, and a passion for delivering high‑quality outcomes.
You'll be working alongside senior consultants and technical specialists, contributing to complex solution design, build, and integration activities across a modern SAP landscape.
About you:
Demonstrated experience as an SAP Developer (ABAP, BRF+, Fiori, CDS Views/HANA modelling, Adobe forms, SmartForms, BAPI, IDOC, Workflow, BOPF)
Experience working in large SAP project teams with complex business rules
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and to share information
Strong analytic skills to assist with the analysis and application of Support Packs (SPAU).
Demonstrable skills in ABAP Core Data Services, Fiori Launchpad and Enterprise Search
Must be an Australian citizen with Australian Government Baseline clearance (AGSVA)
Minimum 5 years SAP experience coding (ABAP/Java) solutions for SAP systems
At least 3 full cycle implementations in a senior development role
Ability to communicate clearly, listen, understand and adapt to the audience; to ensure common understanding
About the role:
Preparation of Strategy documents such as custom development strategy
Creation of technical specifications
Build and remediation of WRICEFXs
On time delivery of assigned tasks of varying complexity
Perform and manage analysis, design, development, prototyping, unit testing and maintenance activities to solve highly complex problems and deliver high quality solutions
Share knowledge and expertise as the Subject Matter Expert and provide assistance and mentorship to less experienced colleagues
Participate in the business process workshops
Contribute to development and design of the blueprint design document
