Position Details
* Casual Shutdown Role: Working at Gladstone Port QLD, with potential for other project/shutdown work.
* Competitive Rate: Casual EA rate $63.25 p/h (including 25% casual loading) + OT Penalties (from base rate) + Tool Allowance.
* Shutdown Dates: 02 February to 20 February 2026
* Shutdown Roster: 12 Hour shifts - Day shift 13 days on 1 day off; Night shift - 6 nights on 1 night off

Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking experienced Shutdown Welders to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. In this site-based role, you will work on general plate & structural fabrications and installations, ensuring work is completed safely, effectively, and to the required standard.
ABOUT YOU
* Trade Qualified: Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication or equivalent.
* Technically Proficient: Ability to pass a Magnetic Particle Examination (ME) and Ultrasonic Examination (UE) of both Structural Butts and Fillet Welds. Experience with aluminium and/or stainless steel fabrication.
* Site Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, White Card, Working at Heights (within 2 years validity). Willingness to undertake a 3 site Medipass.
* Team Oriented: Ability to work effectively within a team, with strong communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality.
