Job Title: Orthopaedic Surgeon Specialist
About the Role
The role of an Orthopaedic Surgeon Specialist is to provide high-quality, cost-effective and efficient clinical and non-clinical services that benefit patients.
About You
We are looking for a skilled professional who can carry out the following key responsibilities:
* Provide ethical decision-making in achieving organisational goals.
* Initiate and be responsible for the clinical care of patients in the Orthopaedic Department.
* Arrange patient management in accordance with the best interests of the patient.
* Consult with other hospital staff as required regarding patient management and related issues.
* Document relevant clinical information legibly, concisely and accurately.
* Ensure post-discharge care of patients is arranged as needed.
* Arrange the transfer of patients as required.
* Ensure an appropriate clinical handover of patients transferred to another hospital or treating team.
* Supervise the clinical care of patients by junior medical staff in the Orthopaedic Department.
* Manage the performance appraisal and development of junior staff.
