Overview
Come and work with us on Ward 5B A fast-paced acute surgical ward with a strong interdisciplinary team focusing on best patient care and outcomes. Ward 5B is a 32-bed surgical ward caring for a range of surgical patients including Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive, Gynaecological, General, Breast, and Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery. We emphasise a multidisciplinary approach that places the needs of patients and families first through communication and collaboration to facilitate safe discharge from hospital.
The team provides a supportive environment for learners and places a heavy focus on teamwork to assist in meeting the needs of a busy surgical ward.
Responsibilities
* Work in a 32-bed surgical ward caring for patients undergoing Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive, Gynaecological, General, Breast, and ENT procedures.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to prioritise patient and family needs and facilitate safe discharge.
* Support learning and teamwork within the ward to meet the needs of a busy surgical environment.
Qualifications
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.

Details of appointment
* Permanent, full-time, shift worker (fully rotational) position.
* Working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 25 October 2025 (hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant).
* Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary packaging available for a range of benefits; access to Grade 4 salary range subject to progression.
