The Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Survey Manager to join our dynamic team in Brisbane.
As a Survey Manager at RCS, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing our survey projects, ensuring their successful delivery from inception to completion. You will be responsible for managing a team of skilled surveyors, coordinating and maintaining relationships with clients, and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of surveyors delivering high-rise, structural, and infrastructure projects across Queensland.
* Manage project delivery from planning through execution — ensuring all work meets RCS standards, QA processes, and client specifications.
* Coordinate project resourcing and performance tracking using Employment Hero and internal delivery frameworks.
* Conduct regular site visits to monitor technical accuracy, IMS/ISO compliance, and team efficiency.
* Collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and contractors to align survey deliverables with construction staging and design intent.
* Review drawings, control networks, reports, and as-built documentation.
* Drive the adoption of new digital workflows including 12d, LiDAR, UAV, and BIM integration to streamline outputs.
* Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science, or a related discipline.
* Proven experience in a Management or Senior role within building, high-rise, or major civil construction environments.
* Demonstrated leadership capability — able to manage field teams, individuals, and build technical capability.
* Competence in 12d, Trimble/Leica survey systems, and digital QA workflows.
* Strong commercial awareness — able to manage budgets, track productivity, and support business development.
* Skilled communicator with experience engaging Tier 1 & 2 builders, clients, and subcontractors.
* Detail-oriented problem solver with a proactive and safety-first mindset.
* Current White Card and driver's licence, with flexibility to attend project sites as required.
