At Survey My Block we are building a team that looks at surveying and planning differently. We have expanded quickly over the last three years as we obtained our consulting and cadastral endorsement and grew to seven full-time team members.
With more growth projected, we need you to help us. In this hybrid role (a mix of office, home and in-field work) you will also collaborate with our wider network of businesses, including designers and construction professionals.
What your role looks like
* Lead a team of five surveyors, a town planner and an administrator, providing management and guidance on a daily basis
* Oversee residential survey projects, subdivisions, building format plans and plan seal applications
* Manage our stock of state-of-the-art equipment, including Trimble controllers, 12D licences, laptops and a fleet of vehicles
* Shape our workflows, drive our schedules and set professional and cultural standards (our boards will impress)
* Join in the occasional casual catch-up too. Hard work equals rewards
What you'll bring
* Experience in QLD-based residential surveying, especially set-out, boundary and subdivision work
* A degree in Spatial Sciences or another formal surveying qualification
* Registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland
* Familiarity with Trimble TSC5 or TSC7 controllers, plus 12D and AutoCAD
* Leadership skills that balance technical knowledge with people management
* The right to work in Australia (sponsorship is not available)
What we offer
* Competitive salary package with bonus potential
* Vehicle and fuel card included
* Hybrid structure with both on-site and collaborative office work
* A supportive team with strong admin backup
* The chance to influence how projects are delivered and how our people grow
* The opportunity to set the tone for a young, ambitious team
Why this role is different
We are not a traditional survey firm. You will be part of a team that is growing fast and shaping its identity, with the freedom to set standards, influence culture and inspire the next generation of surveyors and planners.
