Responsibilities
- Delivery Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for large-scale programs, ensuring alignment with Microsoft's business objectives and priorities.
- Delivery Management: Lead steering committee meetings, drive and maintain obligations to customers, contribute to consumption activities, and maintain accountability for consumption and project delivery forecasts.
- Relationship Development: Drive high customer satisfaction, manage expectations, address customer feedback, and resolve escalations.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives, business leaders, and external partners. Communicate program status, risks, and issues effectively.
- Program Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive program plans (scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation) and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of milestones.
- Team Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams, foster a collaborative environment, and provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and successful outcomes.
- Performance Measurement: Establish and track KPIs, conduct regular program reviews, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks; develop contingency plans to minimize impact on outcomes.
- Initiation & Closure: Drive initiation for medium complexity projects, coordinate resources (including partners and offshore teams), ensure timely closure and successful invoicing and delivery acceptance; share lessons learned.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements to program management processes, methodologies, and tools; share best practices across the organization.
- Sales Leadership: Presales & Contracting – Lead presales of strategic and complex deals, contribute to delivery approach, deal construct, initial estimates and contracts, and facilitate contracting with customers and partners.
- Consultative Selling: Engage in consultative customer conversations and collaborate on end-to-end presales opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work with technical and consulting resources to advance the sales process and achieve solution sales and Azure usage/consumption targets.
- Negotiation: Demonstrate robust negotiation skills to influence decision-makers and build relationships, delivering tailored solutions to drive AI transformation.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field AND 15+ years’ experience in project management
- OR equivalent experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- 8+ years financial management experience
- Agile certification (e.g., Scrum Master, PMI-ACP) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM1)
- Experience in creating and managing intellectual property (IP)
- Experience in creating publications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within Defence or Federal government.
