Our Branch
The Business Engagement and Performance Branch operates across Council as a strategic partner and standard-setter, empowering the organisation to deliver exceptional community and organisational value through enterprise strategy-to-execution alignment, good governance, and service and process excellence. The branch builds Council's capacity to manage performance, portfolios and change to deliver desired outcomes for the city and adapt to future demand and growth.
The Role
As the Strategic Investment Analyst, you will play a vital role in shaping Council's investment decisions and ensuring our portfolio delivers maximum value. You will lead the development and critical analysis of business cases, provide insights on program and project performance, and support governance groups with evidence-based recommendations. Your work will help drive strategic alignment, optimise resource allocation, and strengthen Council's enterprise portfolio management capability.
To be successful you will have:
* extensive experience in business case development and evaluation, program or project management, and working within an enterprise portfolio management office
* strong analytical and financial modelling skills, combined with the ability to navigate complex organisational environments
* exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
