Occupational Therapist – Early Intervention North, Central & EastJoin to apply for the Occupational Therapist – Early Intervention North, Central & East role at Autism Association of Western Australia.OverviewDue to internal promotions and growth, we have an exciting opportunity to join our passionate early intervention team in North, Central or East, supporting children with autism and their families.

As a leading provider of disability support services, we are committed to delivering a holistic, family-centred therapy approach, recognizing the vital role early intervention plays in giving every child the best possible start in life.ResponsibilitiesComplete assessments and develop individualised goals: Use a strengths-based approach to assess areas of support, and collaborate with families to set meaningful goals aligned with NDIS goals and family priorities.Deliver individualised and family-centred therapy: Support independence, motor skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, play and engagement in daily activities.
Work closely with families to embed strategies into everyday routines and support participation in meaningful environments such as home, school, and community settings.Be part of a team: Collaborate and learn from a knowledgeable and supportive multidisciplinary team; participate in a hub with regular team meetings, joint sessions and team-building activities.Enjoy variety in your day: Provide a combination of hub-based therapy and community visits in your local area.
Lead our curriculum-based group programs focused on play, regulation, motor skills, independence and social engagement.Grow your passion: Develop your clinical pathway by joining our specialised teams, including our AAC Team and/or Mealtime Management Team.Do more of what you love: Be supported by a team of operations staff to assist with resource making, scheduling, funding and billing, so you can focus on your clinical work.Build strong community connections: Engage with families, educators, and community partners to promote inclusion and create meaningful outcomes for children.About YouYou enjoy working with autistic individuals and their families to ensure a total communication approach is achieved for all.
You're a compassionate, motivated Occupational Therapist who:Holds a tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current AHPRA registrationIs passionate about working with young children and their families in early childhood settingsDemonstrates a family-centred approach, with a passion for empowering individuals and supporting their independenceHas strong communication skills and able to build rapport with clients, families, and other professionalsHas the flexibility and initiative to work both independently and as part of a teamIs committed to ongoing professional development and to delivering the highest standard of careHas required clearances, including an NDIS Workers CheckBenefits and DevelopmentInvestment in you: Become a leader in strengths-focused, client-led therapy approach for autistic individuals with access to continuous internal and external learning opportunities.
