Job Summary:
The Hearing Support Worker provides support to women experiencing domestic and family violence, including assessments, referrals, safety planning, and court support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish contact with clients, conduct risk assessments, and develop tailored safety plans
* Provide comprehensive explanations of the court process and accompany clients throughout proceedings
* Facilitate close collaboration between clients, police, and court staff to ensure seamless client support
* Coordinate Court Appointed Questioners in conjunction with police and court staff
* Arrange logistical assistance, including transportation and childcare, for clients as required
* Attend Police Prosecutor Clinics on a regular basis and participate in monthly clinics
* Engage with the Safety Action Meeting Coordinator to address clients deemed at high risk
* Implement child-aware practices to prioritize the safety and well-being of children and young people
