Accounting Role Overview
The primary responsibility of this position involves the management of accounting tasks, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial transactions. Key areas of focus include preparing and recording journals, reviewing reconciliations, and liaising with teams for closure of statutory/internal audits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Transaction Management: Prepare and record journals, manage accruals, and compute income tax.
* Reconciliation and Review: Review reconciliations of accounts receivable, bad debt, and clearing accounts.
* Audit Support: Liaise with teams for closure of statutory/internal audits and assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly flux analysis and management reports.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Certification: CA/CA-Inter qualification is desirable.
* Experience: 3-7 years of experience in core accounting.
Required Skills:
* Familiarity with Laws: Fair understanding of AU laws.
* Communication Skills: Strong written skills in English are essential.
* ERP Experience: Exposure to ERP/SAP is an added advantage.
Preferred Skills:
* Time Management: Ability to work late hours on occasion for coordination with other geographies.
* Relationship Building: Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues.
