Our client is a small but high-quality local printer in Nunawading/Mitcham. They have been established for roughly 20 years and are family run. It's a close-knit team. They provide printing and stationery for all occasions and focus on deeply personal life events such as engagements, weddings, baby showers and funerals. They also provide general business printing.
Due to growth, they moved to new, larger premises 3 years ago and use the latest technology printers and finishing equipment. Now they need to take on a committed and enthusiastic new team member to learn all aspects of printing and finishing, as well as provide graphic design and client liaison for projects. There will even be occasional customer deliveries!
Full training will be provided for the printing and finishing side of the business.
Specific duties will involve;
- Learn all aspects of the print and finishing process. Use digital print equipment to manage print jobs and ensure accuracy.
- Photo scanning to create photo slideshows and photo tributes.
- Use software from design to printer.
- Liaise with customers about their projects, verify quantities required and ensure they are happy with designs and the final product.
- If possible, work with the Director to develop creative ideas for future business growth.
- Ensure work completed on time.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate;
- Looking for a stable long term career role.
- Graphic design experience and knowledge would be beneficial. Good software skills using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Keen and willing to learn all aspects of the printing process in a small but friendly business.
- High attention to detail to ensure print jobs are precisely calibrated.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients.
- Driver's licence.
- Within easy commute to Nunawading/Mitcham. On site parking available.
- Eligibility to work within Australia.
There will be a salary of $60,000 plus super. Hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm.
