About the opportunity
Altrad is proud to support Arrow Energy's Girrahween Project, a landmark expansion phase of the Surat Gas Project. This project is at the forefront of the energy transition, featuring a hybrid-powered facility integrating gas, solar, and battery storage.
We are currently seeking skilled professionals, tradespeople, and local workers who want to be part of the core delivery team for this multi-year development.
Role Details:
* Roster: 14:7 Roster (DIDO)
* Site Location: Miles, QLD
* Hours of Work: 10-hour shifts
* Rate: Base Hourly Rate + Penalties + Meal and Travel Allowance
* Penalties apply after 7.6 hours per day, calculated on your base hourly rate
* Outstanding performance may lead to continued career growth throughout the duration of this project

About you
As a Crane Operator on the Girrahween Project, you'll play a critical role in the safe and efficient delivery of this major energy infrastructure development. Working as part of a highly skilled site team, you'll operate cranes to support construction, installation, and maintenance activities while upholding Altrad's strong safety culture.
You'll bring:
* Operating mobile and/or crawler cranes in line with lift plans and site requirements
* Safely lifting, positioning, and securing loads to support construction activities
* Conducting daily pre-start checks and routine crane inspections
* Working closely with dogmen, riggers, and supervisors to ensure clear communication
* Ensuring all lifts comply with site procedures, SWMS, and Australian Standards
* Ability to pass a project-specific pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
* Genuine concern for safety and the wellbeing of your team
* A practical, hands-on mindset with the confidence to take initiative
