**The Position**
Position Title: Freedom of Information (FOI) Officer
Classification: HS3
Salary per hour (exc. super): $2,863.40
Hours per fortnight: 76 or 80 with an ADO every 4 weeks
Employment Status: Ongoing Full Time

**Role Description**
FOI Officers are responsible for the safe facilitation of documents held by Bendigo Health to the public, as requested under the FOI Act.
This involves working in line with the Act to; assess if the request is valid, review the content of the document/s, and provide to the requester within the legislated time frame. FOI Officers ensure acccurate data is collected in order to efficiently track and facilitate requests, including those received under the FOI Act, or outside of the Act from organisations such as Victoria Police or the Department of Families Fairness and Housing.
This role requires strong attention to detail and decision making skills to follow the requirements of the Act and provide as much content within the request as possible.
There is also a strong focus on privacy and confidentiality required within the role.

**The Team**
The Finance and Resources Division is responsible for financial functions, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring and analysis, together with our procurement, materials management and facilities management functions. The division also includes Health Information Services with key roles in medical record management, clinical documentation, freedom of information, and external data reporting requirements. These are essential non-clinical services providing high-quality support, advice, monitoring and compliance functions. The team are focussed on delivering the strategic vision within their responsibilities and on assisting the organisation operationally.
