The team provides professional high-quality procurement and contract management support and advice to all business areas of the Mint to enable them to deliver their respective projects, programs and activities, in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and related policies and guidance.About the RoleReporting to the Chief Finance Officer, as the Assistant Director, Contracts and Procurement you will be required to lead a team to assist a variety of stakeholders across the Mint to achieve their procurement outcomes.
You will leverage your sound knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Framework to enhance team and Organisational procurement and contracting capability; and strengthen reference material and refine the Mint's library of policies, procedures and guidance material.You will apply your expertise to deliver key reporting responsibilities including contract notice reporting, Annual Procurement Plan and various other reporting requirements.The key duties of the position includeLeading and mentoring a small contract and procurement team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work workplace.Working closely with Mint business areas to understand their procurement needs and developing strategies to meet those needs.Collaborating with business areas to create comprehensive market approach documentation, assisting in conducting market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers.Working with cross-functional teams to assist in evaluation, and to coordinate contract negotiation and execution.Coordinating the administrative activities undertaken to support day-to-day contract activities, meeting legislative requirements for records management and audit requirements.
