Coffey Testing is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our North Brisbane Laboratory who will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and safety of the construction materials used in some of Australia's largest rail, mining and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities
Perform field and laboratory construction materials testing on soils, aggregates and concrete to relevant standards (AS1289, AS1141, AS1012).
Prepare and test soil, aggregates and concrete samples; conduct tests such as Triaxials, permeabilities, aggregates, rock testing and other materials tests.
Liaise with Coffey Testing's client onsite on testing schedules, procedures and results, representing the Coffey Testing brand.
Conduct routine quality assurance checks and calibrations, ensuring all equipment is maintained and test results are accurate.
Work autonomously and manage multiple tasks in the field and laboratory; prioritise work to meet client demands.
Ensure the accuracy of test results and timely output of work.
Maintain experience in laboratory and field testing in soils, aggregates and/or concrete to relevant standards.
Hold a current manual driver's licence (essential); NATA approved Signatory and NDM Radiation license are advantageous.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years' experience in Construction Materials Testing industry.
Commitment to quality assurance and workplace safety.
Physically fit for heavy lifting and manual labour-intensive tasks.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks.
Experience in field and laboratory testing to Australian standards or willingness to start a career in construction materials testing.
Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate self-motivation.
Current manual driver's licence (essential).
