Mater Private Hospital Townsville has opportunities for experienced Registered Nurses to join the Surgical ward. The successful candidates will be offered Permanent Part Time employment with the flexibility of either 0.6 - 0.8FTE. You will be required to work across a rotating 24/7 roster including early, late, night and weekend shifts.
The Surgical Unit is a dedicated area caring for peoplefollowing surgery. The highly skilled and passionate staff provideoutstanding patient-centred care to people recovering from relatively minorthrough to the more complex procedures.Our state-of-the-art theatres and equipment, coupled with leading surgeons and nursing staff,offersour patients the highest quality of care, from admission to discharge.
* Displaying the highest level of clinical standards for the unit
* Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
* Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
* Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment,
* Demonstrating clinical skills and knowledge in the care of surgical patients
About you
To be successful in your application, you will have:
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* 12 months postgraduate surgical experience (desirable not essential)
* Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
* Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care and outcomes
* Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
* Demonstrates a collaborative and engaging approach to teamwork and the ability to work within the multi-disciplinary team
