About The Role
Step into a rewarding role as a Nursing Assistant where you will bring excellent customer-facing skills and a genuine passion to deliver an exceptional service to our donors.
You will support our donors through their donation process. Full training is provided, so all you need is curiosity and motivation to learn the process of collecting blood and biological products.
A typical day may include:
* Greeting and interviewing potential donors to assess their eligibility
* Creating a positive donor experience
* Conducting routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests
* Setting up machines and collection equipment
* Safely inserting and removing needles for blood and biological product collection
* Monitoring donors post-donation and assisting with rebooking
* Collaborating with team to meet collection targets
No prior blood collection experience is needed; our paid, flexible, self-paced training program supports your learning.
Qualifications include:
* Comfort with needles and biological materials
* Ability to occasionally lift between 9-22.7 kg
* Supportive team attitude
* Ability to stand, walk, and bend regularly
* Flexibility to work varied shifts on a rotating roster including weekends and afternoons
