This role provides an excellent opportunity to apply your technical skills across the asset lifecycle, contribute to complex investigations and projects, and continue developing your expertise within a collaborative consulting environment.
Role Responsibilities
* Provide technical support and specialist input for HV & LV switchgear and instrument transformers
* Contribute to activities across the full asset lifecycle, including planning, delivery and ongoing performance
* Support and participate in technical investigations into asset and network issues
* Assist in developing asset management plans, plant strategies and maintenance approaches
* Analyse asset performance, condition and risk data, and contribute to reporting
* Support condition and risk assessments and asset management strategies
* Assist with asset replacement and augmentation projects, including:
o Concept designs and scopes of work
o Design reviews (concept, tender and detailed)
o Safety in Design and risk assessments
o Procurement, construction and quality assurance support
* Contribute to engineering standards, specifications and technical documentation
* Support mentoring and knowledge sharing with engineers and graduates
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support client and project outcomes
What you need to be successful
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
* Engineering registration is required.
* Working knowledge of HV & LV assets.
* Exposure to asset management, design, testing, risk assessment or failure investigations
* Understanding of Australian and international standards and regulatory requirements
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills and a collaborative working style
* Proficiency in MS Office and SAP EAM (or similar systems)
* Experience with modelling tools is advantageous
