About the Role
As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a role in day-to-day individual support needs by delivering compassionate, person-centered care. We offer flexible shift options, including mornings, afternoons and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individual with transfers in and out of bed or wheelchair, using a hoist
- Provide respectful personal care
- Offer basic wound care when needed
- Help with household tasks such as preparing meals, light cleaning, and laundry
- Support access to the community i.e. By self as well as with daughter on occasion
- Be available to travel to Rosewood in line with rostered shifts
- Work across a variety of shifts, including morning, afternoon and weekends
About You
ThriveAssist is looking to employ individuals who are passionate about caring for our client in their own home as well as the community. You will be someone with a positive attitude, who can work independently and can communicate effectively and honestly about personal care as well as providing no judgement on how day-to-day activities are undergone. Experience is NOT required for this role but is always welcome.
You must hold:
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- A current NDIS Workers Screening Card (Yellow Card) and/or a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or willingness to obtain
- Flexibility to work varied roster
