About Us: Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge offers unique accommodation and adventurous outback helicopter, safari and 4WD experiences along the famous Gibb River Road. The Role
The Role: We are seeking an outgoing and engaging Tour Guide to lead guests on unforgettable journeys through the spectacular Kimberley region. As a Tour Guide, you will play a key role in delivering outback experiences, sharing local history and culture, and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests on each adventure.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead guests on guided tours of the Kimberley region, sharing insights into the local environment, culture, history and wildlife.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of guests during tours, providing first aid when necessary, and adhering to all safety protocols.
* Educate and inspire guests through engaging commentary and storytelling, offering a deep understanding of the region.
* Coordinate all aspects of the tours, including managing timing, logistics and guest requirements.
* Deliver outstanding service to ensure each guest has a memorable experience, responding to questions and addressing any concerns with professionalism and enthusiasm.
* Work closely with the lodge team to ensure seamless operations and communication throughout the tour process.
* Provide recommendations on additional experiences and activities in the Kimberley area to enhance guests\' overall stay.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Previous experience as a tour guide is essential.
* Strong knowledge of the region's natural history, wildlife, and cultural heritage.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and educate guests of all ages and backgrounds.
* Passion for nature, outdoor activities, and sharing your knowledge with others.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Previous experience with helicopter operations desirable, but not essential.
* Previous experience conducting presentations and making bookings highly desirable.
* Valid first aid certification and ability to handle emergency situations.
* 4WD driving experience and HR drivers license is highly desirable.
