**About the Opportunity**
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Paediatric Anaesthesia**team as a** Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist,**where you will be responsible for:
- Provision of safe, effective, and efficient anaesthesia in accordance with the relevant standards set by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
- Provide anaesthesia for elective and emergency procedures (in-hours and on-call).
- Ensuring that patients/families are given adequate information upon which to base treatment decision and follow-up.
- Ensure clear and accurate documentation throughout the anaesthetic process.
- Provide appropriate post-operative care from anaesthesia through the Post Anaesthesia Care Unit to the ward.
**About You**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent medical degree
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Health Visiting Medical Specialists Enterprise Agreement.
- Clinical excellence and extensive experience in the specialty of Paediatric Anaesthesia.
- Understanding both the rights and responsibilities of patients and their families.
- Work independently and under limited direction to meet deadlines and achieve agreed outputs.
- Communicate, both verbally and in writing, to a wide range of people on a range of sensitive and complex issues.
