ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
* Delivering safe and effective personal care and clinical care, by the consumer’s needs, goals, and preferences to optimise their health and well-being;
* Ensuring patient and staff safety;
* Providing quality patient care using an evidence-based approach and in line with PDH Policy and Procedures;
* Sharing skills and knowledge to contribute to the professional development of colleagues, students, and others;
* Demonstrating a professional responsibility for your work and work performed by staff placed under your responsibility;
* Maintaining a safe and high-quality environment at all times by PDH policies.
REQUIREMENTS
* Current Registration with AHPRA;
* An aptitude for learning and a willingness to embrace this opportunity;
* Willingness to expand/consolidate skills and competencies in the aspects of Perioperative Nursing, available at PDH, in line with the Victorian Perioperative Nurses` Group (VPNG) pathway;
* Previous and demonstrated experience in Perioperative Nursing;
* Current Employee Police Check and Working with Children check;
* Ongoing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, including maintenance of Professional Portfolio.

The facility features a 24/7 Urgent Care Centre (Emergency Department), ensuring immediate medical attention whenever needed. With 52 inpatient beds (69 registered) and two modern operating theatres, it provides comprehensive acute care services. Additionally, there is an eight-bed day procedure unit that supports specialized treatments, including chemotherapy, dialysis, and sleep studies. The hospital delivers services from a single campus, employs around 470 staff with an FTE of approximately 290, and has an active volunteer workforce.
