Role Overview
VetPartners Australia Pty Ltd is seeking to recruit veterinarians for various positions across Australia, including locations in VIC. The daily responsibilities include:
* Treat animals medically and surgically, and administer and prescribe drugs, analgesics, general and local anaesthetics.
* Determine presence and nature of abnormal conditions by physical examination, laboratory testing, and diagnostic imaging (radiography, ultrasound).
* Perform surgery, dress wounds, and set broken bones.
* Render obstetric services to animals.
* Participate in disease prevention programmes.
* Inoculate animals against infectious diseases, test for them, and notify authorities of outbreaks.
* Perform autopsies to determine cause of death.
* Advise clients on health, nutrition, hygiene, breeding, and care of animals.
* Provide professional services to commercial firms producing biological and pharmaceutical products (where required).
* Specialise in a particular animal group or area such as cardiology, ophthalmology, surgery, oncology, radiology, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, chiropractic, dermatology, or critical care.
Compensation & Benefits
* Salary starting at $80,000 upwards for experienced veterinarians.

Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience in small animal practice; 2 years for an ECC Veterinarian; 3 years for a specialist.
* Bachelor of Veterinary Science or Doctor of Veterinary Medicine accredited with the AVBC, and/or completion of NAVLE, AVE examination and eligibility to register in the State.
* International veterinarians with at least 1 year full‐time post‐qualification experience may be eligible for sponsorship.
* Demonstrated high standards of care with a proactive and accountable approach.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Dedicated, hard‐working attitude with effective time management and organisational skills.
