Teach and Conduct Research in Archaeology
The University of Western Australia seeks an exceptional academic to join its School of Social Sciences as a Lecturer. This is a full-time fixed-term position available until 2030.
Main Responsibilities:
* Academic Teaching and Assessment: Teach and assess undergraduate students in Archaeology, develop curriculum, and supervise students at all levels while enhancing graduate employability through placements and partnerships.
* Research Contribution: Conduct and publish high-impact research relevant to Australia, contribute to world-class research initiatives, and secure external research funding to build a nationally recognised research profile.
* School Support: Support the university's values and diversity initiatives, participate in collegial and administrative responsibilities, and engage with schools, industry, and community stakeholders to increase the discipline's impact.
Requirements:
* A PhD in an academic field relevant to Archaeology or other higher professional qualifications appropriate to the discipline.
* Demonstrated commitment to delivering innovative teaching approaches, assessment, and materials for units and courses in Archaeology.
* Evidence of a commitment to designing and promoting the use of technology in delivering teaching and assessment.
* An emerging research profile.
* Commitment to embedding the core values in all aspects of work.
