Senior Catering Attendant (SCA) – Flight Checker
Join Australia's leading inflight meal manufacturer and retail partner as a Senior Catering Attendant (SCA) – Flight Checker. This role is critical to our quality chain, ensuring every meal leaving our facilities is safe, accurately presented and ready for passengers at 30,000 feet.
Typical Day
As a Flight Checker, you will verify and confirm all catering components – airline carts, equipment and special meals – before handover to the Customer Delivery team. Attention to detail and pride in quality are essential, as every tray you check will be served to passengers.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct final checks against flight documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Validate that carts and equipment are correctly packed and aligned with customer expectations and dnata standards and compliance.
* Complete documentation and rectify any discrepancies or shortages promptly.
* Work closely with the production team and communicate clearly with Customer Delivery staff during handover.
* Apply and promote food safety, HALAL requirements, HACCP, WHS and quarantine compliance at all times.
* Support a culture of care, safety and service excellence, ensuring passengers receive food that is secure, well‐presented and reflects our brand.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in airline catering or high‐volume food production is ideal.
* Strong eye for detail and a passion for doing things right the first time.
* Physically capable of working in a chilled setting.
* Solid communication skills and commitment to safe food‐handling practices.
