Eligibility

To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa. Workplace

You'll join the Physiotherapy team at Kurri Kurri Rehabilitation Unit, a 24-bed inpatient facility serving the Lower Hunter community with a diverse caseload of neurological, orthopaedic and geriatric rehabilitation patients. This permanent full-time role sits within a highly supportive management team that prioritises your success, wellbeing and professional growth, alongside a collaborative and innovative multidisciplinary environment dedicated to high-quality care.

About the Role

As a Physiotherapist Level 1/2, you'll provide high-quality rehabilitation physiotherapy care to inpatients, working closely with senior clinicians, patients, families and carers to deliver compassionate, evidence-based interventions. You'll work within your scope of practice, seek guidance from experienced colleagues as needed, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery. You'll be supported by two full-time senior physiotherapists who provide orientation from commencement and ongoing clinical guidance. The team also offers monthly journal clubs, reflective practice sessions, physiotherapy in-services and multidisciplinary education to drive evidence-based practice and professional development.

About You

You're a dedicated, team-oriented physiotherapist passionate about patient-centred rehabilitation care and continuous professional growth. You bring excellent communication skills, time management and the ability to prioritise competing clinical demands within a multidisciplinary inpatient setting.

* Current Authority to Practice with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist.
* Strong commitment to evidence-based practice and responding positively to clinical feedback.
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Proven time management and ability to prioritise clinical demands.
* A proactive team player approach that promotes physiotherapy within multidisciplinary care.
* Passion for improving patient outcomes in neurological, orthopaedic and geriatric rehabilitation.
