Apply now Job no: ******Work type: PermanentLocation: South BrisbaneCategories: Registered Nurse/Midwife About the role Mater Hospital Brisbane Perioperative Unit is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse with Scrub / Scout experience to work within the theatres.
This role will be offered on a permanent part-time/full-time basis.
The successful candidates will be required to work across a 7-day rotating roster including, early and late shifts, night shifts, and on call.
The Perioperative Unit specialises in general, gynaecology, robotics, plastics, urology, vascular, orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Ophthalmology.

Achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the patient journey and continuum of care Demonstrating exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients seeking outstanding care Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision Working collaboratively with the perioperative team to provide exceptional care every time Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth About you You will be driven by a challenging yet rewarding environment where you can bring your energy and experience to this dynamic and supportive unit.
Other skills and experience include: At least 3 years' recent Scrub/Scout experience Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions) Ability to work in an ever-changing and fast paced environment A strong work ethic, positive attitude and willingness to role model and promote the Mater values Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a variety of different stakeholders both internally and externally at various levels Demonstrated ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning and strong listening, negotiation and decision-making skills Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Commitment to ensuring the levels of service is always delivered to patients at all times Mater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
