About The Role
We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join our casual team based in Dernancourt. This role supports the delivery of high-quality meal service through food preparation, basic kitchen duties, and maintenance of a clean and safe working environment in accordance with food safety standards. This position is well suited to individuals who are flexible, team-oriented, and capable of working across a variety of shifts in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
7. Prepare and assemble food items including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
8. Assist with meal service, ensuring a high standard of presentation and customer service
9. Restock supplies before, during, and after service periods
10. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing duties
11. Set tables and assist with plating and meal distribution
Desired Skills and Experience
12. Previous experience in food preparation and/or customer service
13. Experience in contract catering or aged care (desirable but not essential)
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
15. Ability to work effectively within a team environment
16. Professional presentation and positive work ethic
